I believe our podcast was overall a success, we put together a lot of content and I believe that we have good group chemistry as well as an unmatched work ethic, ambition and podcast style. We had many segments including our general discussion of climate anxiety, an analysis on activists and figures such as Greta Thunberg, Donald Trump and world governments, as well as a game show segment inspired heavily by the British game-show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’
The Positives
- We clearly put in a lot of effort and we have content in abundance.
- Every member of the podcast left their mark on the end-product and we all contributed greatly to the project through research, presentation, pre-production, post-production and time management.
- We have definitely learnt skills vital to our course over the last few weeks.
- The podcast is well-structured and we never failed to be creative and innovative, constantly looking for new ways to improve and refine the podcast.
The Negatives
- The podcast is disjointed and at times even derailed, lacking structure at times and there are moments where the podcast goes completely off-topic.
- There were (prior to post-production) profanities and inappropriate language as well as controversial comments made in the podcast, which although have not survived post-production, are unwanted and unnecessary.
- The message of our podcast is slightly unclear and the podcast can be inconsistent.
Overall, I think that our podcast was a success and a captivating listen, there is lots to be positive about with regards to pre and post-production and we collectively showcased our talent and confidence with writing, producing, presenting and editing a podcast.
